A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 7100
BY CHANGING THE LANGUAGE OF THE PROPOSITION TO
BE SUBMITTED TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY
0 WHEREAS, on the 17th day of November, 1969, the City
Council adopted Resolution No. 7100 entitled, "A RESOLUTION OF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA,
CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE
HELD IN SAID CITY ON TEUSDAY, JANUARY 139 19709 FOR THE PURPOSE
OF SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF SAID CITY A MEASURE
RELATING TO THE LEASING OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY"; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the
language of the proposition to be submitted to the voters should
be modified;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that SECTION 2 of Resolution No. 7100
shall be revised to read as follows-
"SECTION 2. That the proposition submitted to the
voters shall be as follows:
'SHALL THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH BE AUTHORIZED TO ENTER INTO AN AMENDED LEASE
WITH THE BALBOA BAY CLUB?"
and that SECTION 4 of said resolution shall be revised to read
as follows:
"SECTION 4. That on the ballots to be used at said
special election, in addition to any other matters required
by law, there shall be printed substantially the following:
*SHALL THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF: YES "
:NEWPORT BEACH BE AUTHORIZED TO ENTER :
:INTO AN AMENDED LEASE WITH THE BALBOA* NO
:BAY CLUB? 19
ADOPTED this 8th day of December, 1969.
