A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO
THE CITY OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AND
KNOWN AS ANNEXATION NO. 692 PACIFIC VIEW
MEMORIAL PARK
WHEREAS, Pacific View Memorial Park, a California
corporation, as the sole landowner of certain uninhabited
territory contiguous to the City of Newport Beach, initiated
proceedings with the Local Agency Formation Commission of
Orange County to annex said unincorporated territory to the
City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, on the 10th day of November, 1969, the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach adopted Resolution No. 7094
declaring its favorable consideration of and signifying its
preliminary consent in principle to the annexation of said
territory to the City of Newport Beach, and requested that the
Local Agency Formation Commission authorize the City Council to
proceed with subsequent annexation proceedings without further
public hearingsor notice; and
WHEREAS, on November 26, 1969, the Local Agency
Formation Commission approved the annexation request of the
Pacific View Memorial Park and authorized the City of Newport
Beach to proceed with subsequent annexation proceedings without
further notice and public hearings pursuant to Section 54797.1
of the California Government Code; and
WHEREAS, Pacific View Memorial Park as-the sole owner
of all territory known as Pacific View Memorial Park Annexation
-�. No. 69, filed a petition with the City of Newport Beach to
annex said uninhabited territory, which is hereinafter more
particularly described, to the City of Newport Beach; and

WHEREAS, Pacific View Memorial Park, as owner of more
than two- thirds of the value of the land in the territory to be

pay any indebtedness and liabilities of the City outstanding,
contracted, authorized, or existing prior to or at the time of
said annexation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
hereby elects to proceed with said annexation proceedings without
further notice or public hearings in accordance with the
provisions of Section 54797.1 of the California Government Code;
and
WHEREAS, it appears that the necessary proceedings
relating to annexation have been conducted strictly in accordance
with the requirements of the Annexation of uninhabited Territory
Act of 1939;
follows:
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council HEREBY RESOLVES as
1. The annexation to the City of Newport Beach,
California, of that certain uninhabited territory contiguous to
said City, known as Annexation No. 69, Pacific View Memorial
Park, is hereby approved. Said property is more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary
of the City of Newport Beach as established by Annexation
No. 57, November 17, 1965, per Resolution No. 6247, said
point being the northeasterly terminus of that certain
course having a bearing of South 40 °23'52" West and a
distance of 281.50 feet; thence along said boundary
South 40 °23'52" West 281.50 feet; thence South 84 °40'58"
West 729.27 feet; thence North 41 °38'18" West 565.00 feet
to that portion of said boundary established by the Big
Canyon Reservoir Annexation, December 17, 1958; thence
North 48 °21'42" East thereon 522.80 feet; thence leaving
said existing boundary South 55 006'50" East 1088.95 feet
to the point of beginning.

2. The property in the aforesaid Annexation No. 69,
Pacific View Memorial Park, shall be subjected to taxation after
annexation equally with property within the City of Newport
• Beach to pay any indebtedness and liabilities of the City of
Newport Beach outstanding, contracted, authorized, or existing
prior to or at the time of annexation.
3. The boundaries of the City of Newport Beach,
California, shall be, and the same are hereby altered to include
the territory described herein, the annexation of which is
approved herein, and incorporated in the City of Newport Beach,
California.
4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file a
certified copy of this resolution with the Secretary of State.
