A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT ON BEHALF.OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH WITH PRICE WATERHOUSE & CO.
FOR A JOB CLASSIFICATION STUDY
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that the City
of Newport Beach employ a consultant, at an expenditure not to
exceed $6,000, to conduct a study which will include current
minimum educational and experience requirements, responsibilities
and duties for each job classification in the City of Newport
Beach-, and
WHEREAS, Price Waterhouse & Co. has submitted a proposal
to conduct said classification study, and the City Council has
considered the terms and conditions of said proposal and found
them to be fair and equitable;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that said proposal is hereby accepted,
and the City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract on
behalf of the City of Newport Beach, at an expenditure not to
exceed $6,000, for the above described job classification study
to be conducted by Price Waterhouse & Co, in accordance with the
terms and conditions of said proposal.
ADOPTED this 24th day of February, 1970.
