A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH.DESIGNATING A
ONE -WAY STREET
WHEREAS, Section 12.52.010 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides that whenever any resolution of this
City designates any one -way street or.alley the City Traffic
Engineer shall place and maintain signs giving notice thereof,
and Section 12.52.020 of the Municipal Code provides that when
signs are erected on any one -way street or alley giving notice
thereof, no person shall drive, or park, any vehicle in a
direction contrary thereto; and
WHEREAS, the alley hereinafter described is an alley
which should be designated as a one -way alley in order to
facilitate the flow of traffic and eliminate traffic hazards;
NOW$, THEREFORE 1, BE IT RESOLVED that the alley located
between Newport Boulevard and Clubhouse Avenue and extending
from 32nd Street to Finley Avenue is designated as a one -way
alley for northbound traffic only.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer
is authorized and directed to appropriately sign or mark said
alley to indicate the above designation.
ADOPTED this 23rd day of March, 1970.
