A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH.ADOPTING A MAP. SHOWING A..
PORTION OF A. CERTAIN._ STREET KNOWN. "A3.BAYSIDE
DRIVE WHICH ,IS.PR ®POSED TO BE.VA.CATED, CLOSED
UP.AND ABANDONED
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Newport Beach
has presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach a
certain map entitled P1ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF BAYSIDE DRIVE,Q°
being City of Newport Beach Public Works Department Drawing No
R /W- 5177 -L, dated March 20, 1970, showing a portion of Bayside
Drive in the City of Newport Beach which the City is considering
vacating, closing up and abandoning, and which portion is more
particularly described as follows:
Those portions of Block 94 of Irvine's Subdivision as
shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 1, page 88 of
Miscellaneous Record Maps, records of Orange County,
California, described as follows:
Parcel 1
BEGINNING at an angle point in the Southerly right -of-
way line.of.Bayside Drive as conveyed to the County of Orange
by deed recorded in Book 830, page 217 of Official Records,
records of said Orange County, California, said point being
a 1 1 /2iP iron pipe and nail as shown on a map of Tract No.
4003, recorded in Book 188, pages 13 through 19, inclusive,
of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County,
California; thence along said Southerly right -of -way line
of Bayside Drive, South 84° 46' 33" East, 1242.50 feet to
the-True Point of Beginning of this description; thence
continuing South 84° 46' 33`° East along said Southerly right -
of-way-line of Bayside Drive a distance of 716.41 feet to
the beginning of a nontangent curve, concave Northeasterly,
having a radius of 892.00 feet, a radial line from said
beginning bears North 5° 13' 270° East; thence Northwesterly
along said curve, through a central angle of 23° 58' 52 ",
an arc distance of 373.35 feet to a point in a line parallel
with and 77.00 feet Northerly of said Southerly right -of -way
line of Bayside Drive, a radial line from said point bears

North 29° 121 19" East; thence North 84° 46' 3311 West along
said parallel line a distance of 303.46 feet to.the beginning
of a nontangent curve, concave Westerly, having a radius of
55.00 feet, a radial line from said beginning bears South
71° 36' 4818 West; thence Southerly and Westerly along said
curve, through a central angle of 113° 34' 4111, an arc
distance of 109.03 feet to the True Point of Beginning of
this description.
Parcel 2
BEGINNING at an angle point in the Southerly right -of-
way line.of.Bayside Drive as conveyed to the County of
Orange by deed recorded in Book 830, page 217 of Official
Records, records of said Orange County, California, said
point being a 1 1/218 iron pipe and nail as shown on a map
of Tract No. 4003, recorded in Book 188, pages 13 through
19,.inclusive, of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said
Orange County, California; thence along said Southerly
right -of -way line of Bayside Drive, South 84° 46' 33" East,
1170.60 feet.; thence-leaving-said Southerly right -of -way
line North 5° 13' 271' East, 69.30 feet to the True Point
of Beginning of this.description, said point being in a
nontangent curve, concave Northwesterly, having a radius of
100.00 feet, a radial line at said point bears North 19°
41' 10`0 West; thence Northeasterly along said curve through
a central angle of 80 59' 28C1, an arc distance of 15.69
feet; thence nontangent to said curve North 84° 46' 3396
West, 13.66 feet; thence South 5° 13' 27" West, 7.70 feet
to the True Point of Beginning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said map is hereby
approved and adopted, and the City Clerk is ordered and directed
to file the same in the proceedings for the abandonment of said
portion of said street.
ADOPTED this 23rd day of March, 1970.
