RESOLUTION NO. 7 18 2
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING ANNUAL SUMMER.
PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON CERTAIN STREETS
AREAS, Section 12.44.150 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides that the City Council shall by resolu-
tion designate streets or portions of streets on which the
parking or standing of vehicles is to be prohibited, and shall
designate in the resolution the days of the week and the exact
hours during which such prohibition shall be in effect; and
WHEREAS, the attendance of beach goers each summer
creates traffic congestion problems in the Corona Del Mar
Beach area, requiring temporary parking restrictions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is
reasonable and in the public interest to prohibit parking of
vehicles on certain streets in the Corona Del Mar Beach area
during the summer months, on an annual basis;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that parking of vehicles shall be
prohibited annually on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays between
the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. commencing on May 15,
until and including the last Sunday in September, on the
following portions of streets, each on the westerly side
between Seaview Avenue and East Coast Highway:
