• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, COST ESTIMATE AND MAP
OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 52
WHEREAS, pursuant to instructions from the City
Council the Public Works Director has prepared plans,
specifications, a cost estimate, and an assessment district
map for use in connection with proposed Assessment District
No. 52, for the purpose of constructing certain improvements
consisting of street lighting facilities and appurtenances
and appurtenant work in that area of the City known as
Harbor Highlands; and
WHEREAS, said plans are identified as Drawing No.
E- 5013 -5, consisting of 4 sheets numbered 1 to 4 inclusive;
said specifications consist of the Standard Specifications of
the City of Newport Beach plus 3 sheets of Special Conditions
numbered SP 1 - 3 inclusive; said cost estimate is set forth
in a report prepared by Joseph T. Devlin, Public Works Director,
dated May 27, 1970, subject: Proposed Assessment District
No. 52 (Harbor Highlands Street Lighting); said assessment
district is identified as follows: Map entitled "Assessment
District No. 52 in the City of Newport Beach, Orange County,
California, Harbor Highlands Street Lighting ", identified as
Drawing No. 5135 -X, dated May 26, 1970; and
WHEREAS, the City Council intends to consider a
Resolution of Intention to order certain street lighting
• improvements in said proposed assessment district pursuant
to the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 1911," being
Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California; and

WHEREAS, prior to consideration of said Resolution
of Intention it is the desire of the City Council to adopt
• the plans, specifications, cost estimate and assessment district
map for said project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the above
described plans, specifications, cost estimate and assessment
district map are approved and adopted.
ADOPTED this 9th day of June, 1970.
