A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
IMPROVEMENT OF JAMBOREE ROAD FROM PALISADES
ROAD TO MAC ARTHUR BOULEVARD, CONTRACT NO. 1205
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for work
in connection with improvement of Jamboree Road from Palisades
Road to MacArthur Boulevard, in accordance with the plans and
specifications heretofore adopted, bids were received on the
16th day of June, 1970, and publicly opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is E. L. White, Inc. of Garden Grove;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the bid of E. L. White, Inc.
for the work in the amount of $259,631.66 be accepted, and
that the contract for the described work be awarded to said
bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed
to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
ADOPTED this 22nd day of June, 1970.
