A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
• OF NEWPORT BEACH ACCEPTING A GRANT .DEED FROM
RICHARD D. COOK-AND GRACE „E. COOK.
WHEREAS, there has been delivered to the City of
Newport Beach a certain grant deed wherein Richard D. Cook
and Grace E. Cook grant to the City the following described
real property;
That portion of Lot 8 in Block 145, Canal Section,
as shown on a Map thereof., Recorded in Book 4,
Page 98 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange
County, California, more particularly described
as follows:
BEGINNING at the centerline intersection of Balboa
Boulevard (formerly known as Bay Avenue) and Channel
Place, as shown on said Map; thence South 790 19' 30”
East along the said centerline of Channel Place
31.23 feet to the Southerly prolongation of the
Easterly line of said Lot 8; thence North 10° 40' 3094
East along the said Easterly line of said Lot 8 a
distance of 32.34 feet to a line parallel with and
45.00 feet Northeasterly of the said centerline of
Balboa Boulevard, said point also being the True
Point of Beginning of this description; thence
continuing North 10° 40' 3011 East along the said
Easterly line of Lot 8 a distance of 33.70 feet to
a point in a line.parallel with and 70.00 feet
Northeasterly of the said centerline of Balboa
Boulevard; thence North 37° 13' 301° West along
the said parallel line a distance of 53.91 feet
to a line parallel with and 40.00 feet Westerly
of the said Easterly line of Lot 8; thence South
100 40' 30" West along the said parallel line a
distance of 33.70 feet to a point in a line parallel
with and 45.00 feet Northeasterly of the said center-
line of Balboa Boulevard; thence South 370 13' 3099
East along the said parallel line a distance of
53.91 feet to the True Point of Beginning of this
description;

WHEREAS, it is to the interest of the City to accept
• said grant deed;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said grant deed
• is hereby accepted and the City Clerk is authorized and directed
to execute and attach thereto a certificate of acceptance and
consent to its recording and to record said document in the
County Recorder's office.
ADOPTED this 13th day of July, 1970.
