RESOLUTION No. 7241
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING AN INTERSECTION AT
WHICH VEHICLES ARE REQUIRED TO YIELD RIGHT -OF-
WAY AND DIRECTING THE TRAFFIC ENGINEER TO ERECT
TEMPORARY YIELD RIGHT -OF -WAY SIGN (MARGUERITE
AVENUE AND SAN JOAQUIN HILLS ROAD)
WHEREAS, Section 12.36.020 of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code provides that whenever an ordinance or resolution designates
and describes an intersection at which vehicles are required to
yield the right -of -way at one or more entrances thereto, the City
Traffic Engineer shall erect yield right -of -way signs at those
entrances of such intersection, where required, and every driver
of a vehicle shall yield the right -of -way at such intersection; and
WHEREAS, certain intersections should be designated as
intersections where vehicles are required to yield the right -of-
way at one or more entrances thereto as hereinafter provided;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the following described location
is hereby designated as an intersection at which vehicles are
required to yield the right -of -way, and the City Traffic Engineer
is hereby directed to erect and maintain yield right -of -way signs
at said location until such time as the new Pacific Drive
improvements are completed:
Marguerite Avenue at San Joaquin Hills Road
