A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
WORK IN ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 52 PURSUANT
TO THE "IMPROVEMENT ACT OF 1911"

WHEREAS, the City Clerk has opened, examined and
declared all sealed proposals or bids at a public meeting held on
September 8, 1970, and has reported the results of the bidding to
the City Council; and
WHEREAS, said work consists of the installation of a
street lighting system on certain streets in Harbor Highlands, all
as more particularly described in Resolution of Intention No. 7197
adopted by the City Council on June 9, 1970, ordering certain
changes in the territory to be included in said assessment district,
and in accordance with the plans, drawings and specifications
referred to in said resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach does hereby resolve and order as follows:
The City Council hereby awards the contract for said work
to the lowest, regular and responsible bidder, to wit: Smith Electric
Supply of Stanton, California, at the prices set forth in its bid
which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a Notice of
Award of Contract to be published in the manner and form required
by law in the Newport Harbor Ensign.
ADOPTED this 14th day of September , 1970.
