A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A
GRANT OF EASEMENT TO THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
EDISON COMPANY FOR PUBLIC UTILITY PURPOSES
ACROSS LOT 43, TRACT 756
• WHEREAS, Southern California Edison Company has
requested that the City of Newport Beach grant a new easement
across Lot 43 of Tract 756 for the purpose of relocating a
submarine cable which is presently in place across an existing
easement within Lot 43, Tract No. 756; said existing easement was
recorded March 22, 1948 as Document 12254 in Book 1740, page 418
of Official Records of Orange County; and
WHEREAS, Southern California Edison Company has agreed
to execute a quitclaim deed abandoning the existing easement,
upon the granting of the requested new easement; and
WHEREAS, the Balboa Peninsula Point Association, as
lessee of the property hereinafter described, has consented to the
proposed new grant of easement; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that relocation of the
existing submarine cable above described would be of benefit to
the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a grant of easement to the
Southern California Edison Company for public utility purposes
across the following real property, legally described as:
The northwesterly 10 feet of the southeasterly 15 feet
of Lot 43 of Tract No. 756, as per map recorded in Book 23,
page 7 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the Office of the County
Recorder of Orange County.
