A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
• AN AMENDMENT TO THE COOPERATIVE FINANCING
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AND THE COUNTY OF ORANGE FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
JAMBOREE ROAD FROM PALISADES ROAD TO MACARTHUR
BOULEVARD, C -1205
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach an amendment to the cooperative
financing agreement between the City of Newport Beach and the
County of Orange, dated May 12, 1970, for the construction of
Jamboree Road from Palisades Road to MacArthur Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the estimated
cost of the County portion of said project will be considerably
more than originally estimated, and the proposed amendment
would revise the original agreement to reflect said change;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the terms
and conditions of said agreement and found them to be fair and
equitable;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said amendment
to the cooperative financing agreement above described is
approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of
Newport Beach.
ADOPTED this 28th day of September, 1970.
