A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A
• GRANT OF EASEMENT TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
EDISON COMPANY FOR ELECTRICAL SERVICE TO THE
NEWPORT CENTER FIRE STATION
WHEREAS, a grant of easement in favor of the Southern
California Edison Company has been prepared in connection with
granting a 6 -foot wide easement over a portion of the Newport
Center Fire Station site to provide electrical service to the
Newport Center Fire Station; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the granting of
said electrical utility easement would be desirable and in
the public interest;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute a. grant of easement to the
Southern California Edison Company for electrical utility
purposes across the following real property, legally described
as:
That certain real property in the County of Orange,
State of California, described as follows:
A strip of land, 6 feet in width, lying within
Parcel No. 1, as shown on a map filed in Book 31, page 35
of Parcel Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of
said Orange County, the northwesterly and northeasterly
lines of said strip of land being described as follows:
Beginning at the southwesterly terminus of the
northwesterly line of said Parcel No. 1, said line being
shown as having a bearing and distance of North 43 °30131"
East, 184.51 feet on said Parcel Map; thence, North
43 °30131" East, a distance of 104 feet; thence, South
46 1129329" East, a distance of 87 feet.
The southeasterly line of said strip of land shall
be prolonged so as to terminate in the northeasterly line
• of Santa Barbara Drive, as shown on said Parcel Map.

• BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
directed to cause said grant of easement to be recorded in the
• Office of the Orange County Recorder.
ADOPTED this 9th day of November, 1970.
