A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
DEMOLITION OF HOUSES FOR THE 32ND STREET
• WIDENING PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 1152
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for work
in connection with demolition of houses for the 32nd Street
widening project, in accordance with the plans and specifications
heretofore adopted, bids were received on the 23rd day of
November, 1970, and publicly opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is Viking Land Clearing Incorporated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the bid of Viking Land Clearing
Incorporated for the work in the amount of $6,800 be accepted,
and that the contract for the described work be awarded to said
bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed
to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
ADOPTED this 23rd day of November, 1970.
