HomeMy WebLinkAbout7333 - Stop Signs at Various Intersections'R RESOLUTION NO. 7 33 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING INTERSECTIONS AT • WHICH VEHICLES ARE REQUIRED TO STOP AND DIRECTING THE TRAFFIC ENGINEER TO ERECT • NECESSARY STOP SIGNS WHEREAS, Section 12.36.010 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code provides that whenever an ordinance or resolution designates and describes an intersection at which vehicles are required to stop at one or more entrances thereto, the City Traffic Engineer shall erect stop signs at those entrances of such intersection where a stop is required and every driver of a vehicle shall stop at such intersection; and WHEREAS, certain intersections should be designated as intersections where vehicles are required to stop at one or more entrances thereto as hereinafter provided; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach that each of the following described locations are hereby designated as intersections at which vehicles are required to stop, and the City Traffic Engineer is hereby directed to erect and maintain stop signs at each of said locations: Acacia at Pacific Avocado at Waterfront (northbound only) Begonia at First, Second and Fourth Dahlia at First and Second Fernlea£ at First and Second First at Acacia, Iris, and Jasmine Fourth at Acacia Goldenrod at First Heliotrope at First, and Bayside Iris at Bayside Jasmine at Bayside Kewamee at Avocado Second at Acacia, Avocado, Goldenrod, and Heliotrope Third at Acacia, Avocado, Begonia, and Fernleaf • Waterfront at Acacia -l� 7 , "qL • • • ADOPTED this 21st day of December, 1970.
