A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DIRECTING THE TRAFFIC ENGINEER
TO REMOVE PARKING METERS AND TO ERECT NECESSARY
SIGNS PROVIDING FOR PARKING OF OFFICIAL POLICE
VEHICLES ONLY
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has determined that in
order to promote the order, safety, health and general welfare
of the community, certain areas adjacent to police facilities
should be set aside and marked for the parking of official police
vehicles only; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police advises that the two
parking metered spaces in front of the empty lot located on
the southerly side of 32nd Street, and adjacent to the police
administration building, are needed for the parking of official
police vehicles;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach
hereby directed to remove
A5034 and A5035, in front

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer
shall have the power and authority to order signs to be posted
or curbs marked in appropriate areas adjacent to and contiguous
with police facilities restricting parking to official police
vehicles only whenever the Chief of Police shall determine that
such action is necessary in order to promote the order, safety,
health and general welfare of the community.
