A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH.ADDING 26TH STREET TO THE
LIST OF STREET ENDS DESIGNATED AS BOAT LAUNCHING
AREAS
WHEREAS, Section 17.16.020 of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code provides that no person shall launch or remove any vessel from
the waters of Newport Harbor over any public seawall, sidewalk,
street end, or public property, except at locations where a regular
business of launching and hauling vessels is conducted which has
the necessary equipment to do such work, or in areas designated and
posted for such purposes by the City; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 7439, adopted on May 24, 1971,
the City Council designated certain street ends as public boat
launching areas subject to certain restrictions on their use; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has now determined that the
list of street ends for boat launching as set forth in Resolution
No. 7439 should be amended to include 26th Street where the same
abuts Newport Harbor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, as follows:
That Section 1 of Resolution No. 7439 dated May 24, 1971,
shall be, and the same hereby is, amended to include 26th Street in
the list of street ends on Balboa Peninsula which are designated as
public boat launching areas.
ADOPTED this 9th day of August, 1971.
