A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING INTERSECTIONS AT WHICH
VEHICLES ARE REQUIRED TO YIELD RIGHT -OF -WAY AND
DIRECTING THE TRAFFIC ENGINEER TO ERECT NECESSARY
YIELD SIGN
WHEREAS, Section 12.36.010 of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code provides that whenever an ordinance or resolution designates
and describes an intersection at which vehicles are required to
yield the right -of -way at one or more entrances thereto, the City
Traffic Engineer shall erect yield signs at those entrances of
such intersection where required and every driver of a vehicle
shall yield the right of way at such intersection; and
WHEREAS, certain intersections should be designated
as intersections where vehicles are required to yield the right-
of-way at one or more entrances thereto as hereinafter provided;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that each of the following described
locations are hereby designated as intersections at which vehicles
are required to yield right -of -way, and the City Traffic Engineer
is hereby directed to erect and maintain yield signs at said loca-
tion:
ATTEST:
Traffic westbound on River Avenue to yield
right -of -way to traffic on 47th Street.
