A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH LIMITING THE PARKING OF
VEHICLES ON A PORTION OF 16TH STREET
• WHEREAS, Section 12.44.010B of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code provides that when authorized signs are in place giving notice
thereof, no person shall stop, stand, or park any vehicle between
the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6 :00 p.m. of any day for a period of
time longer than two hours upon such streets or portions thereof as
the City Council shall designate by resolution; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to limit the parking of vehicles
as hereinafter provided;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the parking of
vehicles between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6 :00 p.m., except on
Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, be limited to two (2) hours on
16 th Street, both sides, between Babcock Street and Placentia
Avenue;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer is
authorized and directed to appropriately sign or mark said area to
indicate such parking limitation.
ADOPTED this 23rd day of August, 1971.
