RESOLUTION NO. 75 44
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF. THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH LIMITING THE PARKING
OF VEHICLES ON 16TH STREET, EXCEPT A POR-
TION BETWEEN BABCOCK STREET AND PLACENTIA
AVENUE
WHEREAS, Section 12.44.010 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides that when authorized signs are in
place giving notice thereof, no person shall stop, stand, or
park any vehicle between the hours of 8:00 a.m, and 6:00 p.m.
of any day for a period of time longer than two hours upon
such streets or portions thereof as the City Council shall
designate by resolution; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to limit the parking of
vehicles as hereinafter provided;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the parking of
vehicles between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., except
on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, be limited to two (2) hours
on 16th Street, both sides, except the easterly 220 feet of
the southerly side from Babcock Street to Placentia Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer
is authorized and directed to appropriately sign or mark said
area to indicate such parking limitation.
ADOPTED this 12th day of October , 1971 .
