A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING A MAP
SHOWING A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET
KNOWN AS OCEAN FRONT WHICH IS PROPOSED
• TO BE VACATED: CLOSED UP AND ABANDONED
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Newport
Beach has presented to the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach a certain map entitled "PROPOSED STREET VACATION„ BLOCK
14, BALBOA TRACT, EASTSIDE ADDITION," being City of Newport
Beach Public Works Department Drawing No, R/W 5225 -L, dated
October 4, 1971, showing a portion of Ocean Front in the City
of Newport Beach which the City is considering vacating,
closing up and abandoning, and which portion is more particu-
larly described as follows:
"That portion of Ocean Front (30,00 feet in width)
formerly known as Surf Avenue, adjoining Lots 15, 16,
17, 18, 19 and 20 in Block 14 of the Balboa Tract, as
shown on a map recorded in Book 4, Page 11 of Miscel-
laneous Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of
Orange County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at the most westerly corner of said Block
14; thence southeasterly along the southwesterly line of
said Block 14 to the most southerly corner of said Lot 20;
thence southwesterly along the southwesterly prolongation
of the southeasterly line of said Lot 20 to a line parallel
with and southwesterly 10.00 feet, measured at right angles
from said southwesterly line of said Block 14; thence
northwesterly along said parallel line to the south-
westerly prolongation of the northwesterly line of said
Block 14; thence northeasterly.along last said prolonga-
tion to the point of beginning."

NOW„ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said map is
hereby approved and adopted, and the City Clerk is ordered
and directed to file the same in the proceedings for the
abandonment of said portion of said street.
ADOPTED this 26th day of October , 1971.
