A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF PUMPING STATION ZONES III AND
• IV AND PRESSURE REDUCING STATION AT BIG CANYON
RESERVOIR, CONTRACT NO. 1350
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for work
in connection with the construction of Pumping Station Zones III
and IV and the pressure reducing station at Big Canyon Reservoir,
in accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore
adopted, bids were received on the 11th day of November, 1971, and
publicly opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is TRIAD PIPING AND CONST. CO.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the bid of Triad Piping and Const.
Co. for the work in the amount of $224,000.00 be accepted, and
that the contract for the described work be awarded to said bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed
to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
ADOPTED this 22nd day of November, 1971.
