A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL OF ROBERT G. SKINNER,
ATTORNEY AT LAW, TO PROVIDE INTERIM SPECIAL
LEGAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach a proposal from Robert G. Skinner,
attorney at law, to provide interim legal services to the City
of Newport Beach during the period of the recruitment for the
position of Assistant City Attorney, relating to the prosecution
of misdemeanor violations of the Newport Beach Municipal Code;
and
WHEREAS, said attorney has offered to provide said
services for a special retainer fee of $800 per month; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it
would be in the best interests of the City to accept said
proposal;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the proposal of Robert G.
Skinner to provide the interim special legal services above
described, for the retainer fee of $800 per month, is approved,
effective as of December 1, 1971, and the Mayor is hereby
authorized to accept the same on behalf of the City of Newport
Beach.
ADOPTED this 13th day of December , 19 71 .
