A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR

WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT IN NEWPORT HEIGHTS
16 AREA* 1971 -72, CONTRACT NO. C -1368
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for work
in connection with Water Main Replacement in Newport Heights Area,
1971 -72, in accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore
adopted, bids were received on the 21st day of March, 1972, and
publicly opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is GALLACHER CO.R INC., of Costa Mesa;
NOWT THEREFORE„ BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the Bid of GALLACHER CO., INC., for
the work in the amount of $178,656.20 be accepted, and that the
contract for the described work be awarded to said bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed
to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
ADOPTED this 27th day of March, 1972.
