RESOLUTION NO. x'66 2
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS
R1EP BERS TO FILE A 14RITTEN ARGU14ENT FOR
A CITY DLEASURE.
WHEREAS, an election is to be held in the City
of Newport Beach on June 6, 1972, at which time there will
be submitted to the qualified electors of said city the
following city measure:
. Shall the City of Newport Beach
incur a bonded indebtedness in the
principal sum of $3,000,000 for the
purpose of acquisition of a certain
municipal improvement, to wit: a.
certain municipal improvement for
park and recreational purposes,
including the future acquisition
of sites and provisions for open
space?
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, California,.DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE
AND ORDER as follo ws:
Section 1. That.this City Council, being the
legislative body of said city, hereby authorizes
E. F. Hirth, Mayor
Howard Rogers, Mayor Pro Tempore
Lindsley Parsons, Councilman
Donald McInnis, Councilman
Carl J. Kymla, Councilman
;• Milan M. Dostal, Councilman
Richard D. Croul; Councilman
members of said body, to.file a written, argument for the city
measure set forth in the recitals hereof in accordance
with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 4 of the Elections
Code of the State of California and to change said argument
until and including the date fixed by the City Clerk after
which no arguments for or against said city measure may be
submitted to said Clerk.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED THIS 27th day
of March , 1972.
