A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
BALBOA ISLAND ALLEY IMPROVEMENTS,, CONTRACT
NO, C -1405
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for work
in connection with Balboa Island Alley Improvements, in accordance
with the plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were
received on the 4th day of April, 1972, and publicly opened and
declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is Damon Construction Company;
NOW„ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the bid of Damon Construction
Company for the work in the amount of $70,170000 be accepted,
and that the contract for the described work be awarded to
said bidder,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed
to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
