A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING A MAP SHOWING A
PORTION OF OCEAN FRONT` ADJACENT TO LOT 3,
BLOCK C., SEASHORE COLONY TRACT,, WHICH IS
PROPOSED TO BE VACATED, CLOSED UP AND
ABANDONED
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Newport
Beach has presented to the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach a certain drawing entitled "VACATION OF A PORTION OF
OCEAN FRONT" being City of Newport Beach Drawing No. R/9- 5245 -L,
dated April 19, 1972, showing a portion of Ocean Front in the
City of Newport Beach which the City is considering vacating,
closing up and abandoning, and which portion is more particularly
described as follows:
That portion of Ocean Front (50 feet in width)
formerly known as Ocean Avenue, adjoining Lot 3 in
Block C of the Seashore Colony Tract, as shown on a
map recorded in Book 7, Page 25 of Miscellaneous
Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of Orange
County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at the most southerly corner of Lot 3,
Block C, Seashore Colony Tract in the City of Newport
Beach, County of Orange, State of California, as per
map recorded in Book 7, Page 25 of Miscellaneous Maps
in the Office of the County Recorder of said County;
thence northwesterly along the northeasterly line of
Ocean Front formerly known as Ocean Avenue, as shown
on said map of Seashore Colony Tract, to the most
southerly corner of Lot 4 of said Block C; thence
southwesterly along the southwesterly prolongation
of the southeasterly line of said Lot 4 to a line
parallel with and distant southwesterly 15 feet
(measured at right angles) from said northeasterly
line of Ocean Front; thence southeasterly along said
parallel line to the southwesterly prolongation of the
southeasterly line of said Lot 3; thence northeasterly
along said southwesterly prolongation of the south-
easterly line of said Lot 3 to the Point of Beginning,
NOW, THEREFORE„ BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that said map is hereby approved and

adopted, and the City Clerk is ordered and directed to file the
same in the proceedings for the abandonment of said portion of
said street.
