RESOLUTION NO. 6 69 2
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A GRANT OF EASEMENT TO
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY IN
CONNECTION WITH UNDERGROUNDING THE
ELECTRICAL SERVICE FACILITIES AT THE
BIG CANYON RESERVOIR SITE
WHEREAS, the Southern California Edison Company
is providing electrical service to-the Big Canyon Reservoir
site; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Newport
Beach to have the electrical service facilities at that
site placed underground; and
WHEREAS, to facilitate the undergrounding of these
facilities, it is necessary for the City of Newport Beach
to grant an easement to the Southern California Edison
Company;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and
the City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute a
grant of easement conveying to Southern California Edison
Company an easement for underground electrical service
facilities over the real property described as follows:
A strip of land, 6 feet in width, lying within a
portion of Block 93, of Irvine's Subdivision, as shown
on map recorded in Book 1, page 88 of Miscellaneous
Maps, in the office of the Recorder of said County; the
centerline of said strip being described as follows:
Commencing at the 1 inch iron pipe, plug and tack
per Tract No. 2202, as shown on map recorded in Book
123, pages 22 through 26, inclusive, of Miscellaneous
Maps, in the office of the Recorder of said County, said
pipe being accepted as the westerly corner of deed recorded
on December 20, 1957, in Book 4143, page 395 of Official
Records, records of said County, said point also being
shown on a map filed in Book 50, page 37 of Records of
Surveys, records of said County; thence, South 18 059'26"
East, 213 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence,
South 69 128'39" East, 179.75 feet; thence, North
67 131'40" East, a distance of 15.62 feet,
situated in the County of Orange, State of California.
