RESOLUTION NO. V 6 9 9
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING THE INTERIM
PARK PLAN AS THE FIRST PHASE OF THE
RECREATION ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN
WHEREAS, an Interim Park Plan has been prepared as
the first phase of the Recreation Element of the General Plan
of the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, said Interim Park Plan sets forth objectives
and supporting policies that will serve as a guide for the
development of park facilities within the City; and
WHEREAS, the General Policy Report of the General
Plan of the City of Newport Beach recommends that the City
endeavor to provide park facilities to adequately meet the
current and future needs of each resident; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 707 of the Newport Beach
City Charter, the Planning Commission has held public hearings
to consider the adoption of the Interim Park Plan as the first
phase of the Recreation Element of the City's General Plan;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended to
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach that the Interim
Park Plan be adopted as the first phase of the Recreation
Element of the General Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach does hereby adopt the Interim
Park Plan as the first phase of the Recreation Element of the
General Plan. A copy of the Interim Park Plan is on file in
the office of the City Clerk.
