RESOLUTION NO. 7 70
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
FEDERAL AID TOPICS PROJECT NO. EHS -T- 3041(152);
INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AND HIGHWAY
LIGHTING „ CONTRACT NO. 1403
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for work
in connection with Federal Aid Topics Project No. EHS- T- 3041(152);
installation of traffic signals and highway lighting at Bayside
Drive - Jamboree Road- Marine Avenue intersection; Newport Center
Drive - Newport Center Drive east and west intersection; and the
Superior Avenue - Placentia Avenue intersection, in accordance
with the plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were
received on the 16th day of May, 1972, and publicly opened and
declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is Steiny & Co., Inc, of Los Angeles,
NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the bid of Steiny & Co., Inc. for
the work in the amount of $141,787 be accepted, and that the
contract for the described work be awarded to said bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in ac-
cordance with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed
to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
