RESOLUTION NO. 7343
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH URGING THE CALIFORNIA
STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION TO MAKE NO CHANGES
THAT WOULD DELAY THE PRESENT CONSTRUCTION
SCHEDULE FOR THE CORONA DEL MAR FREEWAY
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has previously
urged early construction of the Corona del Mar Freeway between
the San Diego Freeway and University Drive; and
WHEREAS, a construction program is presently planned
which is compatible with both funding capabilities and traffic
circulation requirements; and
WHEREAS, a proposal has been advanced requesting
revisions to the construction program; and
WHEREAS, analysis by the Division of Highways dis-
closes that such revisions would result in delays in the comple-
tion of portions of the project and possible traffic handling
problems.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach urges the California State High-
way Commission to make no changes that would delay the present
construction schedule for the Corona del Mar Freeway.
ADOPTED this 10th day of October 1972.
