A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING THE PLANNED COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS FOR NEWPORT PLACE PLANNED
COMMUNITY
WHEREAS, Section 20.51.070 of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code provides that amendments to a planned community district
development plan must be approved by a resolution of the City
Council setting forth full particulars of the amendment; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a public
hearing on September 21, 1972, at which time it considered a certain
amendment to the planned community district regulations for the
Newport Place Planned Community; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing the Planning Commission
adopted Resolution No. 770 recommending to the City Council that
the Planned Community Development Standards for the Newport Place
Planned Community be amended to permit an additional site in the
industrial section for an automobile center; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that said
amendment would be desirable and in the public interest; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted a public hearing
on the proposed amendment in accordance with all provisions of
law, and has considered the recommendation of the Planning
Commission as set forth in Resolution No. 770;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
hereby approves the proposed amendment to the Planned Community
Development Standards for the Newport Place Planned Community
which would permit an additional site in the industrial section
for an automobile center.
