A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ACCEPTING A TOPICS
FUND ASSIGNMENT FROM THE COUNTY OF ORANGE
FOR ITS SHARE OF THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTAL-
LATION AT PLACENTIA AVENUE AND SUPERIOR
AVENUE, CONTRACT No. C -1403
WHEREAS, on November 22, 1971, the City Council
authorized the execution of a cooperative agreement with the
County of Orange to cover the County's share of the cost of
installing a traffic signal at Placentia Avenue and Superior
Avenue; and
WHEREAS, said signal installation is one of three
signals presently being installed using TOPICS funds; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Supervisors
have authorized the assignment of $20,700 more or less of
County funds to the City of Newport Beach as the County's
share of the cost of said installation, and the State Division
of Highways requires that the City accept the assignment of
said TOPICS funds by resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that it hereby accepts the as-
signment of TOPICS funds from the County of Orange in the
approximate amount of $20,700, as the County's share of the
cost of the traffic signal installation at Placentia Avenue
and Superior Avenue.
