RESOLUTION NO. 7887
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ACCEPTING THE ENVIRONMENTAL
IMPACT REPORT IN CONNECTION WITH USE PERMIT
1591 (EDGEWATER CONDOMINIUMS)
WHEREAS, the developers of the Edgewater Condominiums
tohave submitted an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) to the
Department of Community Development, in connection with their
project; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Director has reviewed
the report for sufficiency and substance, examined the findings,
and has made such recommendations for conditions as were deemed
necessary either to mitigate undesirable impact or reduce that
impact to acceptable levels; and
WHEREAS, on December 18, 1972, the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach held a public hearing to consider and take
testimony relative to said EIR; and
WHEREAS, after considering the EIR and the supporting
evidence presented at said hearing, the City Council finds that
the report is satisfactory and should be adopted as the City's
EIR in connection with this project; and
WHEREAS, on the basis of the evidence presented and
the content of the EIR, the City Council has determined that the
EIR complies with the intent and criteria as set forth in the
Environmental Quality Act of 1970 (Sections 21100, et seq. of
the California Public Resources Code), as well as the Guidelines
for Requirement of Environmental Impact Statements as adopted by
the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that additional
conditions to protect the environment, or to either mitigate
undesirable impact or reduce that impact to acceptable levels
are unnecessary;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that it hereby accepts and adopts
the EIR as filed by the developers in connection with Use
Permit 1591 (Edgewater Condominiums) as being sufficient and
• in compliance with all state and local laws and guidelines.
