A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH TO BE SURPLUS AND FURTHER DECLARING
ITS INTENTION TO SELL SAID PROPERTY TO LOS
ANGELES FEDERAL SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach holds title to
certain real property located in the City of Newport Beach
which is hereinafter described more particularly; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the City has no present or
prospective need for said property; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Director of
Parks, Beaches and Recreation, pursuant to the provisions of
Sections 54220 through 54224 of the California Government Code,
that the subject property is not capable of park or recreation
development and therefore need not be offered for purchase to
other public agencies prior to disposing of said real property;
and
WHEREAS, the property is not a legal building site
and is therefore of value only to owners of adjacent properties;
and
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles Federal Savings and Loan
Association has offered to buy said real property for the amount
of $11,128.00; and
WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of the City
to sell said property under the following terms, procedures and
conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
isof the City of Newport Beach hereby finds, determines, resolves
and orders that:
SECTION 1. Size - Location. The subject property
comprises approximately 1,020 square feet of land located on
32nd Street between Marcus Avenue and Clubhouse Avenue in the

City of Newport Beach more particularly described as
The northerly twelve feet of Lot 1, Block 332,
Canal Section, as shown on the Map in Book 4,
Page 98, of Miscellaneous Maps in the Office
of the County Recorder of Orange County.
SECTION 2. Protest to Sale. Any person interested
• may protest the proposed sale of the subject property at the
hour of 7:30 p.m. on February 26, 1973, at the regularly scheduled
meeting of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, held
in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, City of Newport Beach.
SECTION 3. Time for Sale. The subject property will
be sold at the regularly scheduled meeting of the City Council
on February 26, 1973, in the City Council Chambers, City Hall,
City of Newport Beach, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. or as soon
thereafter as is practicable.
SECTION 4. Notice of Sale - Publication. This reso-
lution shall be published at least once in a a daily newspaper
published and circul8ted in the City of Newport Beach and three
copies of this resolution shall be posted for not less than ten
(10) days in at least three conspicuous places on the subject
property.
