HomeMy WebLinkAbout8031 - Development Standards Citizens Advisory Committee• RESOLUTION NO. 8031 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING A CITIZENS' ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR DEVELOP- MENT STANDARDS WHEREAS, Resolution No. 7691 provides that all standing and ad hoc committees of the City Council shall be established by resolution; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Newport Beach to establish an ad hoc committee for the purpose of recommending development standards for the residential areas of the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach that an ad hoc Citizens' Advisory Committee for Development Standards is hereby created, with the following duties and composition: A. To recommend development standards to be im- plemented as required in the General Plan, with special priority in the areas of the Balboa Peninsula, West Newport and Corona del Mar, as required therein. These recommendations regarding development standards shall include, but not be limited to, the following: 1. Parking 2. Outdoor living space 3. Special setback requirements 4. Combination of commercial and residential uses in selected locations S. Floor area ratios in connection with parking 6. Other related special considerations. B. Seven citizens shall be appointed by the Council to serve on this committee; each Councilman shall appoint one member and one alternate who shall possess full voting rights in the absence of the Committee member. There shall also be _1- . v two members of the City Council and two members of the Planning Commission who shall act as liaison with the Committee. C. The Committee shall reports its recommendations and findings to the City Council on or before September 23, 1973. • ADOPTED this 25th day of June , 1973.
