A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING THE PLANNED COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE NEWPORT PLACE PLANNED
COMMUNITY
WHEREAS, Section 20.51.070 of the Newport Beach
Muniipal Code provides that amendments to a planned community
district development plan must be approved by a resolution of
the City Council setting forth full particulars of the amend-
ment; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of
Newport Beach conducted a public hearing on April 5, 1973,
at which time it considered amendments to the planned community
development plan for the Newport Place Planned Community; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing the Planning Commis-
sion adopted Resolution No. 805 recommending to the City
Council that certain amendments to the Newport Place Planned
Community Development Standards, which would permit the rearrange-
ment of Office Site #3 and Restaurant Site #2 and the reapportion-
ment of land allotted to each and to reduce the allowable
building area in Office Site #1 and #2 and increase the permitted
building area in Office Site #3A is desirable and necessary; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that
those certain amendments to the Newport Place Planned Community
Development Standards which are set forth above are desirable
and necessary; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted a public
hearing on the proposed amendments in accordance with all pro-
visions of law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
hereby approves the proposed amendments to the planned community
development standards for the Newport Beach Planned Community as
referred to herein above.
