A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPOINT A
CORPORATE REPRESENTATIVE TO ACT FOR AND ON BEHALF OF
THE CITY IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT
0 WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach, a municipal corporation, that it is desirable and necessary to appoint
an agent of the City to act for and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach
in the Small Claims Court of the Harbor Judicial District, County of Orange,
State of California; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the City Manager would be the appro-
priate person authorized to appoint City representatives to Small Claims
Court.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby
authorized to appoint City representatives to Small Claims Court who will
be authorized and empowered to accept service of process issued by said
Court in matters over which said Court has jurisdiction for and on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach.
ADOPTED this 27th day of August 1973.
