A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
A JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AND THE COUNTY OF
ORANGE FOR STREET SWEEPING AT THE ORANGE COUNTY
• AIRPORT
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach a certain agreement between the
City of Newport Beach and the County of Orange to provide for
street sweeping services at the Orange County Airport, which
agreement supersedes the agreement formerly entered into between
the parties and authorized by Resolution 7880 dated November 20,
1972; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the terms
and conditions of said joint exercise of powers agreement and
found them to be fair and equitable and in the best interests of
the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that said joint exercise of powers
agreement for the street sweeping services above described is
approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Newport
Beach;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the former agreement between
the County of Orange and the City of Newport Beach for street
sweeping services at the Orange County Airport, authorized by
Resolution 7880, dated November 20, 1972, is hereby terminated
by reason of execution of said new agreement, and the City Clerk
is directed to notify the County of Orange, in writing, of such
termination,
