RESOLUTION NO. 8434
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING AN APPLICATION FOR
FEDERAL ASSISTANCE PURSUANT TO THE HOUSING
AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
has held two public hearings on the Block Grant Program; one on
January 20, 1975, and one on February 10, 1975; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Newport
Beach has held one public hearing on the Block Grant Program on
February 6, 1975, and has recommended that the City Council
adopt said Grant for Federal assistance; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is
in the best interests of the City of Newport Beach to participate
in the Block Grant Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach does hereby adopt said application
for Federal assistance and directs that this application be
fowarded to the County of Orange as the Newport Beach Component
Application, to be submitted to the Department of Housing and
Urban Development as part of the Orange County "Urban County"
Application.
