RESOLUTION NO. 8554
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR TRAFFIC
SIGNALS AT BRISTOL STREET AND BIRCH STREET AND
MODIFICATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT BRISTOL STREET
AND IRVINE AVENUE - CAMPUS DRIVE, CONTRACT NO. 1702
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for
traffic signals at Bristol Street and Birch Street and modifica-
tion of a traffic signal at Bristol Street and Irvine Avenue -
Campus Drive, in accordance with the plans and specifications
heretofore adopted, bids were received on the 1st day of July,
1975, and publicly opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible
bidder therefore is Steiny and Company, Inc.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the bid of Steiny and Company
for the work in the amount of $24,000.00 be accepted, and that
the contract for the described work be awarded to said bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed
to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
