A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY. COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ORDERING THE VACATION
AND ABANDONMENT OF A TEN FOOT WALKWAY RUNNING
SOUTHEASTERLY FROM THE INTERSECTION OF SETTING
SUN DRIVE AND SANDPIPER DRIVE ALONG THE NORTH-
EASTERLY EDGE OF LOT 27, TRACT NO. 3660, IN THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH

WHEREAS, the City Engineer presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach on July 14, 1975, a certain
drawing entitled "Vacation and Abandonment of the Public Walkway
Interest in an Existing Walkway and Storm Drain Easement" being
the City of Newport Beach Drawing No. R /W- 5322 -L, dated
June 25, 1975, showing the existing ten foot wide walkway in
the City of Newport Beach running generally southeasterly from
the intersection of Setting Sun Drive and Sandpiper Drive, being
the northeasterly edge of Lot 27, Tract No. 3660, which portion
is more particularly described as follows:
A strip of land being a portion of Lot 27, Tract
3660, as shown on a map recorded in Book 144,
pages 9 through 11 of Miscellaneous Maps in the
Office of the County Recorder, County of Orange,
State of California, said strip being the most
northeasterly 10.00 feet, of said lot, measured
at right angles from the Northeasterly line
thereof.
The Southwesterly line of said strip being pro-
longed or shortened to terminate in the north-
westerly and southeasterly lines of said Lot 27.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach approved and adopted said map on July 14, 1975, and directed
the City Clerk to file same in the proceedings for the abandonment
of said walkway easement; and
WHEREAS, on August 11, 1975, the City Council held a
public hearing for the purpose of hearing all persons interested
in or objecting to the proposed vacation and abandonment of said
above - described walkway; and
• WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines from
all of the evidence submitted that the subject easement described
herein and more particularly described in Resolution No. 8541
is unnecessary for present or prospective public use.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that said ten foot walkway running
southeasterly from the intersection of Setting Sun Drive and
Sandpiper Drive along the northeasterly edge of Lot 27, Tract
No. 3660, in the City of Newport Beach is hereby ordered vacated
and abandoned.
ADOPTED this 11th day of August , 1975.
