A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT
• IN CONNECTION WITH THE COAST HIGHWAY
BICYCLE TRAIL FROM JAMBOREE ROAD TO AVOCADO
AVENUE, CONTRACT NO. 1755
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for
work in connection with the Coast Highway Bicycle Trail from
Jamboree Road to Avocado Avenue, in the City of Newport Beach,
in accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore
adopted, bids were received on the 15th day of September, 1975
and publicly opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is Certified General Engineering Contractors, Inc.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the bid of Certified General
Engineering Contractors, Inc. for the work in the amount of
$16,129.05 be accepted, and that the contract for the described
work be awarded to said bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed
to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
ADOPTED this 22nd day of September, 1975.
