RESOLUTION NO. 8634
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT
TO AMERON, INC., PIPE LINING DIVISION
FOR THE CEMENT- MORTAR LINING OF CAST IRON
WATER MAINS ON BALBOA PENINSULA
(CONTRACT NO. 1750)
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for
work in connection with the 1975 -76 cement - mortar lining
of cast iron water mains on Balboa Peninsula, in accordance
with the plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids
were recieved on the 29th day of October, 1975, and publicly
opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible
bidder therefor is Ameron, Inc., Pipe Lining Division;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the bid of Ameron, Inc.,
Pipe Lining Division, for the work in the amount of $94,467.50
be accepted, and that the contract for the described work be
awarded to said bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be
directed to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
ADOPTED this 10th day of November , 1975.
