RESOLUTION NO. 8862
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT TO
D. W. CONTRACTING COMPANY IN CONNECTION WITH
PHASE ONE, ENSIGN VIEW PARK, CONTRACT NO. 1800
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for
work in connection with Phase One, Ensign View Park, in
accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore adopted,
bids were received on the 2nd day of August, 1976, and publicly
opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible
bidder therefore is D. W. Contracting Company;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council '
of the City of Newport Beach that the bid of D. W. Contracting
Company for the work in the amount of $25,433.50, including
Deductive Bid Item No. 3 (substituting standard concrete for
stamped concrete) be accepted, and that the contract for the
described work be awarded to said bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed
to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
