A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
• OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT TO THE
GRIFFITH COMPANY FOR SITE IMPROVEMENTS - SUPERIOR
AVENUE FROM PLACENTIA AVENUE TO INDUSTRIAL WAY,
CONTRACT NO. 1665
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for
work in connection with site improvements - Superior Avenue
from Placentia Avenue to Industrial Way, in accordance with
the plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were
received on the 31st day of May, 1977 and publicly opened and
declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible
bidder therefore is GRIFFITH COMPANY;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the bid of the Griffith
Company for the work in the amount of $294,430.70 be accepted,
and that the contract for the described work be awarded to
said bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on
behalf of the City of Newport Beach and that the City Clerk
be directed to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
ADOPTED this 13th day of June 1977.
