RESOLUTION NO. 9198
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING A MAP SHOWING THE
PORTION OF 23RD STREET AND IRVINE AVENUE RIGHT -
OF -WAY PROPOSED TO BE VACATED
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Newport
Beach has presented to the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach a certain drawing marked Exhibit "A" dated September 10,
1976, showing the portion of 23rd Street and Irvine Avenue right -
of -way, which the City is considering vacating and which is more
particularly described as follows:
"Beginning at the point of intersection of the
centerlines of 22nd Street and Irvine Avenue,
as both 22nd Street and Irvine Avenue are shown
on said map of Newport Heights; thence, North
40 °00100" East along said centerline of Irvine
Avenue, 582.40 feet to a point on a curve concave
Westerly and having a radius of 540.00 feet and
a central angle of 53 139'04 ", said point also
being the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING, thence continuing
along said centerline North 40 000'00" East a
distance of 739.47 feet to a point of intersection
with the centerline of the right -of -way of 23rd
Street, as shown on said map of Newport Heights,
thence North 50 000100" West a distance of 452.35
feet along the centerline of said 23rd Street
and terminating in the Easterly right -of -way
boundary for Irvine Avenue as said right -of -way
was dedicated per grant of easement recorded in
Book 8603, Page 885 of Official Records of Orange
County."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that said map is hereby approved
and adopted, and the City Clerk is ordered and directed to file
the same in the proceedings for the abandonment of said portion
of 23rd Street and Irvine Avenue right -of -way as described above.
