A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING THE
ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF NEWPORT
• BEACH AND KNOWN AS ANNEXATION NO. 84,
CAMEO HIGHLANDS
WHEREAS, on September 28, 1977, the Local Agency
Formation Commission of Orange County approved by Resolution
No. 77 -149 the proposed annexation to the City of Newport
Beach of approximately 0.64 acres, hereinafter described
and designated as Annexation No. 84, Cameo Highlands, pursuant
to the application filed by The Irvine Company as one of the
owners of the territory to be annexed, and, further certified
a negative declaration thereon; and
WHEREAS, by virtue of said Resolution, the Local
Agency Formation Commission of Orange County authorized the
City of Newport Beach to annex such territory without notice
and hearing and without an election pursuant to Section 54797.1
of the California Government Code; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the necessary proceedings
in accordance with the requirements of the Annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 have been completed;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach hereby resolves as follows:
SECTION 1. The annexation to the City of Newport Beach,
California, of that certain uninhabited territory contiguous to
said city, known as Annexation No. 84, Cameo Highlands, is hereby
approved; said property is more particularly described as follows:
A portion of Block 95 of Irvine's Subdivision
in the County of Orange, State of California as
• shown on the map recorded in Book 1, Page 88 of
Miscellaneous Record Maps of said County, and
being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Northeasterly boundary
of Cameo Highlands Annexation to the City of

Newport Beach, distant thereon North 57 015'00"
West 53.96 feet from the Southeasterly terminus
of the course described as "N. 57 015'00" West,
647.00 feet "; thence North 57 °15'00" West along
said boundary, 252.17 feet; thence leaving said
boundary, North 32 045'00" East 132.05 feet to a
point in the Northeasterly line of said Block
95 as shown on the Map filed in Book 88, Page 35
of Records of Survey of said County; thence
South 50 °25'04" East along said Northeasterly
line, 225.00 feet; thence leaving said Northeasterly
line, South 17 028'00" West, 109.15 feet to the
point of beginning.
SECTION 2. The above parcel of property legally
described in Section 1 shall be subject to taxation after
annexation equally with properties in the City of Newport Beach
to pay any indebtedness and liabilities of the City of Newport
Beach outstanding, contracting, authorized, or existing prior
to, or at the time of annexation.
SECTION 3. The boundaries of the City of Newport
Beach, California, shall be, and the same are hereby altered
to include the territory described in Section 1 of this Resolution.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file
a certified copy of this Resolution with the Executive Officer
of the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County,
pursuant to Section 54797.2 of the Government Code.
