RESOLUTION NO. 9285
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING A MAP SHOWING THE
PORTION OF CLUBHOUSE DRIVE PROPOSED TO BE
VACATED
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Newport
Beach has presented to the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach a certain drawing marked Exhibit "A" dated January 17,
1978, showing a portion of Clubhouse Drive (entrance to
Irvine Coast Country Club) which the City is considering
vacating and which is more particularly described as follows:
"Beginning at a point in the Northeasterly right -
of -way line of East Pacific Coast Highway as
described in Parcel 2 in the Grant of Easement
recorded in Book 12277, Page 1310, Official
Records, Records of Orange County, California,
said point being N. 39 038'00" E. 224.62 feet
from the Easterly corner of Lot 79 in Tract
Number 1701 as shown on map recorded in Book
52, Pages 9 and 10 of Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of Orange County, California; thence,
N. 50 022'00" W. 55 feet along said North-
easterly right -of -way line; thence, N. 39 °38'
00" E. 56 feet to the beginning of a curve concave
Northerly and having a radius of 25 feet, the
center of said curve bears N. 39 038'00" E;
thence, Easterly along said curve through a
central angle of 901, an arc distance of 39.27
feet, to a line tangent; thence, N. 39 °38100"
E. 114.71 feet to the beginning of a curve
tangent concave Southerly and having a radius
of 120 feet; thence, Easterly along said curve
through a central angle of 901, an arc distance
of 188.50 feet, to the end of said curve; thence,
S. 39 038'00" W. along a line radial to last
mentioned curve a distance of 60 feet to the
beginning of a curve concave Southerly and
having a radius of 60 feet, the center of said
curve bears S. 39 °38100" W.; thence, Westerly
along said curve through a central angle of
900, an arc distance of 94.25 feet, to a line
tangent; thence, S. 39 °38'00" 64. 114.71 feet
to the beginning of a curve tangent concave
Easterly having a radius of 25 feet; thence,
Southerly along said curve through a central angle
of 90 °, an arc distance of 39.27 feet, to the end
of said curve; thence S. 39 °38'00" W. 56 feet to
a point in the Northeasterly right -of -way linelof
said East Pacific Coast Highway; thence N. 50 °22'00"
W. 55 feet along said Northeasterly right -of -way
line to the point of beginning.
Reserving therefrom an easement for traffic
signal purposes described as the Southwesterly 56
feet thereof measured at right angles to said
centerline of East Pacific Coast Highway."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council

of the City of Newport Beach that said map is hereby approved
and adopted, and the City Clerk is ordered and directed to
file the same in the proceedings for the abandonment of said
• portion of Clubhouse Drive (entrance to Irvine Coast Country
Club) as described above.
